Booth committee office inaugurated

IMPHAL, Dec 17: Booth Committee office of 13/16, 13/21, 13/22 and 13/23 were inaugurated today by the intending National People's Party (NPP) candidate from Singjamei Assembly Constituency in the upcoming State Legislative Assembly election, Oinam Romen.
While speaking at the inaugural function held at Singjamei Thongam Leikai today, O Romen said that candidates without firm commitment and determination should not be elected.
He went on to state that he is opening fewer booth committee offices to be in contact with the electors of the vicinity so that the voters can come forward and support him with positve feedback.
O Romen also expressed concern over the other candidate's few booth committee offices alleging that such offices have become an easy place for getting intoxicants and drugs just to woo the young voters.
Terming it really unfortunate, he appealed to all concerned to refrain from carrying out such activities with immediate effect.
