One dies in mishap

IMPHAL, Dec 17 : One man riding a motorcycle died in a road mishap at Khabeisoi Esirou along Imphal-Ukhrul road this morning at around 8.40 as one dark blue coloured car coming from the opposing direction hit his motorcycle.
The deceased has not been identified till the time of filing this report.
According to police, the deceased drove a Bajaj Pulsar bearing Manipur regis- tration number while the car (Maruti Baleno) fled after hitting the motorcycle.
The man driving the motorcycle was admitted to JNIMS but he was declared dead by the doctors there.
The corpse has been deposited at JNIMS morgue.
The deceased is 5 feet 3 inch tall and  has an oval face. He had a wheatish complexion and wore a dark blue sweatshirt, gray pants and gray chappals, said police.  
A case has been registered at Heingang police station.
