Explosives seized

IMPHAL, Dec 17 : Somsai Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) apprehended one person along with two kg of IED components from a place near Ukhrul district head-quarters on December 16.
Altogether 2 kg of explosives, one remote control and batteries for Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were seized from the person, said a statement of IGAR (S).
The apprehended individual has been handed over to Lamlai police station along with the explosives, it added.
