Indo-Bangla Friendship Award

IMPHAL, Dec 19 : Social activist Rakesh Naorem has been conferred Indo-Bangla Friendship Award-2021 in social activist and art category by the World Book of Star Records, today.
Rakesh Naorem is a son of Naorem Chaoba and Borni of Tentha Khongbal, Thoubal. He has four siblings.
The award was distributed during a function held as a part of Maitri Diwas celebration in West Bengal in the presence of World Book of Star Records director Dr Rajiv Pal and United Nation World Peace Association, Bangladesh presi- dent Ratankumar Das.
Rakesh Naorem is also a recipient of Dr BR Ambed-kar National Fellowship Award 2003, Person of the Year -2009, Bir Tikendrajit National Youth Award-2018, Humanity Achiever Award-2018, Humanitarian Excellent Award-2020 etc. Notably, Rakesh Naorem is the first Manipuri to receive the Indo-Bangla Friendship Award.
