State Aquathlon C'ship 2021: S Naocha, Chingkholleima Huidrom win senior titles

IMPHAL, Dec 5 : Saikhom Naocha and Chingkholleima Huidrom bagged senior men's and women's titles in the State Aquathlon Championships-2021 organised by the Triathletes United of Manipur (TUM) under the aegis of Triathlon Association of Manipur at Kongba.
Saikhom Naocha clinched the senior men's title with a time of one hour and four minutes. RK Robert finished second reaching the finish line in one hour and eight minutes, four minutes earlier than third placed Ksh Anand Singh.
Meanwhile Chingkholleima Huidrom clocked one hour thirty seconds to win the women's crown while M Priyashwori who took four more seconds to complete the course, settled for the silver medal.
The sub-junior boys' title went to Thokchom Gautam as he finished the course in 18 minutes 56 seconds and Laitonjam Lanchenba bagged the silver medal with a time of 19 minutes 33 seconds.
Suranjit Puyam and Belchrish Khoirom shared the bronze medal podium in this event as they both took 19 minutes and 52 seconds to complete the course.
M Anju Devi, meanwhile clinched the sub-junior girls' title with a time of 23 minutes 45 seconds while Nongmaithem Nelshi finished second with a time of 24 minutes 36 seconds and Gaitri Thoudam finished third taking 28 minutes and 24 seconds.
In the junior boys' category, S Athouba won the gold finishing the course in 28 minutes and 31 seconds ahead of Laikhuram Velenjit (31 minutes 20 seconds) and Sandham Punshiba (32 minutes 52 seconds).
Maibam Binita Chanu, in the meantime, fetched the junior girls' title finishing the course in 43 minutes 23 seconds.
Dekalu Th Panmei finished second to win the silver medal with a time of 46 minutes 11 seconds as Hidam Apilika won the bronze.
