IMPHAL, Feb 6: A footprint on a rock believed to be “very old” was found at the proposed Bunning Wildlife Sanctuary at Tamei subdivision in Tamenglong district.
The footprint was found on a hill inside the sanctuary by journalists who were visiting the site as part of “Know Your Sanctuaries and Wetlands” campaign.
State archeologists said the age of the footprint couldn’t be ascertained yet, but it is believed to be from when Manipur was ruled by Kings.
