Silent Village Authority clarifies

IMPHAL, Feb 6: Silent Village Authority of Senapati district has clarified that no Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) work is sanctioned for Silent village. The village authority stated that the sit in protest at Silent Village in Senapati district held on February 2 by the Federation of All Tribal Youth Clubs Manipur along with the villagers against the Forest Department Authorities of Manipur for misappropriation of funds was without the knowledge and consent of the Silent Village Authority. The village authority further appealed to all the concerned not to raise any allegations without basis.
