Manipur Police seize liquor, hamei

IMPHAL, Feb 7
In continuation of the drive against drugs, a team of Lilong PS led by SI Md Wakibuddin and SI W Manitomba seized 10 litres of DIC liquor from Oinam Santa Singh S/o (L) O Gunamani of Oinam Sawombung, yesterday.
It is reported that the individual escaped from the police team.
The seized items were handed over to OC Excise Lilong for further action, said police.
A police team led by ASI Wahab also seized DIC liquor  from the house of Khundongbam Akoi Singh (53), S/o (L) Kh Ningthou Singh of Khangabok Maisnam Leikai.
The seized 15 litres of DIC liquor were handed over to Excise Department for further action.
Similarly, a team of Yairipok PS arrested an individual identified as Ksh Naoba Singh (41) S/o Ksh Iboyaima Singh of Yairipok bazar along with 3 litres of DIC liquor from his possession.
In another instance, a team of KJM PS led by SI Ak Joydutta Singh seized 6 kgs of 'Hamei' from the possession of Phanjoubam Chaoba Singh (38) S/o (L) Ph Tomba Singh of Sapam Maning Leikai.
