IMPHAL, Mar 18: Some schools/boarding facilities are not following COVID-19 SOPs (standard operating procedures) amid the scare of a second wave, said Manipuri Students’ Federation (MSF) today.
Citing the reported cases of infection among three students and a teacher at St John boarding at Noney district, MSF secretary Hijam Roshan said the student federation visited three schools today to enforce Covid appropriate behaviours/SOPs.
The volunteers of the MSF visited Photon School, CC Higher Secondary School and Millennium Institute of Science. He alleged that the hostel of Millennium Institute was found flouting Covid SOPs.
Appealing schools and boarding institutions to follow the COVID-19 guidelines, he also urged the Government to enforce the SOPs strictly in the institutions.
If the SOPs are not enforced strictly during Yaoshang festival, the State may witness severe hike in the number of infections later, he added.
He appealed all to follow the SOPs strictly during the Yaoshang festival/sports.
