Federation of All Tribal Youth Clubs Manipur alleges

IMPHAL, Mar 2: Officials of the Forest department have misused funds provided by the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA). Federation of All Tribal Youth Clubs Manipur said this at a press conference held today at Manipur Press Club. R Asing, president of All Tribal Youth Clubs Manipur said the 'misappropriation' of funds meant for aiding the afforestation work in the state worth crores of rupees came into light after an RTI was filed by the federation. He added that the federation had already submitted memorandums  earlier to the Chief Minister and Forest Minister to take up appropriate actions, but there has been no response so far. He added that forest is for all of us and we all should work together to protect and preserve the forest and proper implementation of CAMPA schemes.
