Four more test positive

IMPHAL, Mar 22:  With four persons including one personnel of CAPF testing positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 years, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in the State has risen to 33.
Notably, there were only 29 active cases on Sunday.
A press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that four persons were tested positive at Imphal West RAT, Shija Hospital and Jivan Hospital during the last 24 hours.
The three civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (2) and Kakching (1).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,339 (general population 25,900 and Central security personnel 3,439).
This figure includes 33 active cases (general population 27 and Central security  personnel 6) and 28,933 recovered cases (general population 25,504 and Central security personnel 3,429).
The cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths is 373 while the recovery rate stands at 98.61 per cent on Monday.
On the other hand, 46 people were vaccinated against the contagion on Sunday, taking the total number of vaccination in the State to 81,297. It includes 31,140 health care workers.
