KTC states stand

IMPHAL, Mar 22 : Sharing the same stand as the Kuki Students' Organisation, the Kuki Tribe Council (KTC) has also stated that the State  Government has no authority to discard or delete any tribe/tribes from the list of recognised scheduled tribes without prior consultation.
In a statement, the council which is an apex body of all sub-tribes under Any Kuki Tribes said that the decision taken by the Government on October 19, 2018 to discard Any Kuki Tribes from the list of scheduled tribe list is erroneous and lacks judgement.
Asserting that the Government should work for the welfare and socio economic development of the Scheduled Tribes, the council asked the Government to reconsider their decision to avoid confrontation.
