Convocation ceremony held

Convocation ceremony of the 49th Batch Forest Guards' Training Course, 2019-2020 was held today at Manipur Forest Training School, Luwangsangbam.
The function was attended by K Angami (IFS), principal chief conservator and head of forest force; Dr Ak Joshi (IFS), principal chief conservator of forests, wildlife and  chief wildlife warden and N Sonzalian (IFS), addl principal chief conservator of forests, working plan, said a statement issued by Manipur Forest Training School.
The training of the 50 Forest Guard trainees commenced on May 27, 2019 which included classroom sessions, practicals, field exercises and extensive tours, added the statement.
Out of the 50 trainees, 30 trainees passed with distinction, 9 with honours and the remaining 11 were awarded pass certificates.
Oinam Joy Singh topped the batch while Mandingbam Shyamson Singh and Sairem Ashok Meetei were awarded 'Best Practical Forest Guard Award' and 'Good Conduct Award' respectively. The convocation event was rescheduled due to the Covid-19 pandemic since March last year.
