Active cases touch 58

IMPHAL, Mar 27: Even as 868 people were vaccinated against Covid yesterday, three persons tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, said Government COVID-19 Common Control Room.
With the 868 vaccinated yesterday, the number of people who have been vaccinated so far has reached 85,103 including 31,537 healthcare workers.
The three persons who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours are all male and they hail from Imphal East, Bishnupur and Senapati district.
They tested positive for COVID-19 at testing facilities opened at Imphal West.
The cumulative number of Covid positive cases has reached 29,376 including 25,934 civilians and 3,442 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 58 including 51 civilians and seven Central security personnel.
On the other hand, 5 persons recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours and they have been discharged from CAPF (2) and JNIMS (3).
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has touched 28,944 including 25,513 civilians and 3,431 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate stands at 98.52 percent.
With zero deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours, the death toll stands at 374, said the report issued by Additional Director, Health, Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 Common Control Room has urgently informed air passengers who arrived at Manipur today (March 27) by Indigo flight 6E-2019 and Air Asia Flight 15 to report to the common control room at 1800343818 or their respective District Surveillance Officers (DSOs). The passengers who should report include those who were seated in rows 9-14 and 22-28 of the Indigo flight 6E-2019 and rows 12-18 of the Air Asia Flight 15.
