Active cases stand at 29

IMPHAL, Mar 8: The total number of COVID-19 active cases in the State stands at 29 while the recovery rate as on Monday is 98.62 per cent.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, five persons were tested positive for the virus as JNIMS, Babina Diagnostics and Raj Medicity during the last 24 hours.
They are residents of Imphal East (2), Imphal West (1), Bishnupur (1) and Jiribam (1).
With no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 373.
On the other hand, four COVID-19 positive people were discharged from home isolation during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,296 (general population 25,862 and Central security personnel 3,434).
This figure includes 29 active cases (general population 28 and Central security personnel 1) and 28,894 recovered cases (general population 25,465 and Central security personnel 3,429).
Meanwhile, 62 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 today, taking the cumulative number to 68,467.
Of the 68,467 people vaccinated so far, 30,368 are health care workers.
