'200th Executive Council & 41st General Assembly' of MBC held

Chandel , Apr 22: '200th Executive Council & 41st General Assembly' of Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) was organised by the Monsang Naga Baptist Churches Association (MNBCA) on the theme 'Standing Firm to the End' at Japhou Baptist Church in Chandel District Headquarters from April 21-22.
A farewell ceremony of the outgoing general secretary, Reverend Dr W Konghar and an installation programme was also conducted today conforming to all the COVID-19 SOPs.
MBC former general secretary Reverend, Dr Vumthang Sitlhou also attended the programme as a Blessing Minister and prayed for Reverend Dr W Konghar and his family.
Later, Mao Baptist Churches Association, Reverend K Losii Mao was also sworn in by Dr Vumthang Sitlhou.
It may be mentioned that the no changes has been made in the cabinet secretaries of MBC with Reverend Y Modarshim still as finance and property secretary, Reverend Dr Sut Khan Thang as mission secretary, Reverend Alipha Thangal as women secretary, Reverend Raimi Rimai as youth and education secretary, Reverend T Karang as Peace and Development director.
Meanwhile, new office bearers of MBC executive council were elected- Reverend Sr Onisima as MBC Executive Council president, Reverend Lunkholal Kipgen as vice president, and Jaojianlung Riamei as recording secretary.
No changes have been made to executive secretaries of the Churches Association under Manipur Baptist Convention.
