Nagaland records 89 new cases

DIMAPUR, Apr 23 : Nagaland recorded 89 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. According to the Health Department, out of the fresh cases, 85 are from Dimapur and 4 from Kohima. With this update, the State now has 456 active cases.
Meanwhile, as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19, screening of passengers at Dimapur railway station has begun since Thursday using thermo screening equipment.
With the rising cases of COVID-19 in the State, night curfew has also begun from Friday in Dimapur from 8 pm till 5 am everyday. All the shops and restaurants or other business establishments should close by 7 pm everyday till further notice.
Meanwhile, the Nagaland State Level War Room on COVID-19 has been reactivated with the Chief Secretary and Chairperson of the State Executive Committee, Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, (NSDMA) as the Chairman, and members from the key line departments.
