IMPHAL, Apr 28: The two satellite radio transmitters tagged Amur Falcons, Irang and Chiulon have crossed India and they are now in Myanmar.
The radio transmitters fitted on both the birds are working fine and they are sending strong signals, said sources.
Significantly,  Amur Falcons breed in southeastern Siberia and Northern China before migrating in large flocks across India and over the Arabian Sea to winter in Southern Africa.
Irang is a female Amur Falcon while Chiulon is a male bird. Radio transmitters were fitted in 2019 to study their migratory patterns.
