Dr Ranjan urges

IMPHAL, Apr 29: Inner Manipur Lok Sabha MP Dr RK Ranjan has categorically stated that the COVID-19 pandemic can be effectively contained only when the battle against the pandemic is extended to the level of polling booths.
A reception ceremony of Dr N Dwijamani who contested the last Assembly election on BJP ticket in Uripok AC was held today on his return to the party.
Speaking at the reception function held at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of BJP Manipur Pradesh, Dr Ranjan said that the COVID-19 pandemic can be thrown away only when everyone joins hands and fights the battles collectively starting from polling booth level. He also underscored the importance of ensuring extensive COVID-19 vaccination in hill areas too.  
Declaring that BJP has opened a helpline to cater to the needs of everyone, the Lok Sabha MP sought public cooperation to the party’s initiative.
Point out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also announced free food grains to economically weaker sections of the country during the months of May and June, Dr Ranjan said that party workers must ensure the food grains reach the targeted beneficiaries.
Informing that Rs 10 crore from his MP Local Area Development Fund has been deposited in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, Dr Ranjan said that MPs were contributing to the Central relief fund while Ministers and MLAs contributed to the State relief fund.
One should be patient if one has joined BJP and follow the party’s principle of country first, party second and self last, said the Lok Sabha MP. Former MLA M Bhorot expressed keen desire for the party to urge the Government to set up a population commission. Dr N Dwijamani too spoke at the gathering where MLA N Indrajit, BJP State unit president in-charge U Deben, vice-president N Nimbus and founder member Yumjao were also present.
