DCCADC reiterates stand

IMPHAL, Apr 5 : The Demand Committee on Creation of Autonomous District Councils (DCCADC) has reiterated its stand that the four newly created hill districts-Kamjong, Pherzawl, Noney and Tengnoupal should be included in the upcoming ADC elections. This was made clear to the Government representatives during a meeting today at the conference hall of TD & Hills Department.
Simon Kamei, convenor of DCCADC,  in a statement said that Government representatives were led by Tribal Affairs and Hills Minister, Vungzagin Valte.
During the meeting, the committee reiterated that they will not compromise on their demand and continue stringent forms of agitation if Kamjong, Pherzawl, Noney and Tengnoupal are not included in the upcoming ADC elections, he said and warned that the committee will not take responsibility for any unto- ward incidents during the agitation. "The demand committee will fight till we attain our legitimate demand," he said and asserted that DCCADC will not allow any kind of ATSUM activities in the four newly created hill districts.
