Set up a memorial at resting place of Paona Brajabashi: PMPCC

IMPHAL, Apr 9 : Paona Mongfam Protection and Celebration Committee (PMPCC) has urged the State Government to set up a memorial of Paona Brajabashi at Arapti Maning Leikai where the hero of the Anglo Manipuri War 1891 was cremated.
Briefing journalists at Manipur Press Club, yesterday, PMPCC convenor Yumkhaibam Bimol also appealed to the public to participate in paying tributes to Paona Brajabashi on April 26 at the cemetery at Arapti Maning Leikai.
He also stated that not holding any events to mark the death anniversary of this hero who laid down his life for the State is upsetting.
