IMPHAL, May 29: A team of Mayang Imphal Police Station arrested a person today who allegedly took a video from his mobile secretly at a vaccination centre and spread false information and misled the public.
In a statement SP of Imphal West district, K Meghachandra Singh said that the arrested person has been identified as Haobam Tikendrajit alias Ibomcha (40 yrs) of Uchiwa Leirak Achouba under Mayang Imphal PS and seized a mobile handset along with a Jio SIM card from him.
The accused person took the video secretly and posted the video clip in the social media with the message that the vaccine was not injected and it was widely circulated in Whatsapp and Facebook by thousands of people which made the public believe that the medical staff in the vaccination centre were not injecting the vaccine.
