Drug dealer held

IMPHAL, May 4: A team of Lilong police along with members of ANJUMAN, Lilong arrested a drug dealer from Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi near Kaleikhong bridge yesterday.
The drug dealer identified as Phundreimayum Yasmin (28) was arrested along with banned drug items from her residence in the evening yesterday.
According to a reliable source, the arrest was made on receiving specific information about the sale of illegal drugs items by Phundreimayum Yasmin, wife of Mujibur of Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi.
Under the supervision of Thoubal SP, the Lilong police team led by its OC rushed to the residence along with women police personnel and conducted a search in the presence of witnesses and members of ANJUMAN.
During the search, brown sugar (weighing 262.8 grams including the weight of the plastic container), 67 numbers of ANREX- CP cough syrup and 579 number of SP capsules were recovered from Yasmin's possession.
Subsequently, the Lilong police have registered a case against her under ND&PS Act for taking up necessary legal actions.
