CPI observes birth annive

The Manipur State Council-Communist Party of India (MSC CPI) has today observed the 103rd birth anniversary of Karl Marx who is regarded as the father of communism in a low key event at Kangmong Maisnam Leikai.
 State secretary of the party, M Joykumar led in paying floral tribute to the socialist revolutionary and political philosopher, said a press release issued by the party.
M Joykumar also spoke on the contributions of Karl Marx in empowering the working class peoples through his writings and philosophies.
The secretary had said that working class people were awakened by Karl Marx's famous writings including 'Das Kapital' which explained capitalist system, its dynamism, and its tendencies toward self-destruction, the release said.
The State secretary also revered him as 'Mahapurush' who worked for the welfare of the working class people, it continued.
