KANGPOKPI , May 6: PHE Minister, Losii Dikho formally released a book entitled, 'The Thadou Poetry and History' at Lamphel, Imphal.
The book was compiled by a seven member team of Thadou Linguistic Research Forum (TLRF) led by its chairman, Thanglet Kipgen and vice chairman, Janglal Sitlhou.
Chandramani, an Evangelist under Thadou Baptist Association dedicated the book for the formal release ceremony. Chandramani while dedicating the book prayed for God's blessing upon the publisher and his family.
 It may be mentioned that Losii Dikho is also the publisher of the book.
The Minister stated that publishing the Thadou tribe poetry and history will play a pivotal role in the upliftment of Thadou community identity and culture.
The Minister also exhorted the youth of the Thadou community to the identity of the Thadou as identity demonstrate who we are while inspiring the Thadou community to be an ambassador of peace among the diverse communities in the State.
The Thadou Linguistic Research Forum Chairman, Thanglet Kipgen said that it was Minister Losii Dikho generosity and love for the Thadou community that the compilation of Thadou Poetry and History could be published for all other tribes to know and understand the identity, history and culture of the Thadou community.
He also maintained that each tribes has its own history, identity and culture and it was considered very important to let other tribes know and understand the importance of Thadou's identity, history and culture. Thadou youth started embarking on the endeavour to bring out the Thadou Poetry and History in English to enable various other tribes to read and understand it.
He further said that despite the Thadou community residing in various places of the globe, their identity and culture is the same everywhere and this is the uniqueness of the Thadou tribe. The Thadou Linguistic Research Forum Media and IPR Secretary, Paojahao Kipgen said that with an aim to reach to all the people irrespective of tribes and communities, we are planning to make available the newly released book everywhere for all.
The programme was held conforming to all the COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines.
