CCpur Police seize liquor

Churachandpur , Jun 15: A team of Churachandpur District police led by OC Churachandpur PS under the supervision of senior officers seized 87 litres of DIC liquor from the house of one RK Ranjit, Old Bazar, Churachandpur today.
The seized liquor was later disposed of at the Police Station's premises.
Besides, the Women police also arrested a female drug peddler, Rempui w/o Lienthang of Hmar Veng and recovered 140 WY tablets from her possession after it received input that some drug peddlers were selling drugs in and around Tuibong Peace ground.
A few days back, the district police had rounded up several curfew violators who were reportedly enjoying themselves in Khuga Dam area after receiving reports and complaints from the surrounding villages.
Meanwhile, one 51 inches para mortar bomb found in the woods within Tuinom village was disposed of with a controlled explosion by a team of Bomb disposal squad from Imphal yesterday.
As per sources, the bomb was found by people who were looking for wild mushrooms on Sunday.
