CPI State Secretariat demands removal of Praful Patel
IMPHAL, Jun 7
Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI) demands removal of Praful Patel, Administrator of Union Territory of Lakshadweep from his post for introducing controversial measures against the Constitution thereby posing threats to the locals of Lakshadweep.
In a statement MSC/CPI alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have been conspiring to create chaos in States and UTs where BJP is not in power through Governors and Lieutenant Governors which is unfortunate.
In Lakshadweep where Muslim community constitutes the major section of the population, Praful Patel has introduced measures such as imposing ban on sale of beef and to disqualify Panchayat members who have more than 2 children.
Such an act violating the norms of the Constitution directs towards strengthening of RSS's propaganda against the interest of the locals of Lakshadweep therefore CPI State Secretariat demands the removal of Praful Patel at the earliest to restore peace and harmony in the Union Territory.
It may be mentioned that the ruling and opposition MLAs of Kerala State Assembly unanimously demanded the removal of Praful Patel from his post for his anti people motives on May 31.
