KKL demands apology

Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL) Manipur sought for unqualified apology from the principal of Ramkrishna Mission School at Uripok for holding classes on Khongjom Day, Eid-ul-Fitr and May Day thereby disrespecting the sentiments of the people concerned.
In a letter addressed to the principal of the School, Swami Dharmapriyananda, KKL urged the principal owing moral responsibility as the head of the institution to give unqualified apology to the people of Manipur for holding classes on April 23, 2021 (Khongjom Day) which is regarded as a revered day in the history of Manipur.
The letter further stated that he should apologize to the Muslim Community of the State for holding classes on Eid-ul-Fitr (May 14, 2021), a sacred day for the Muslims and also to the working class of Manipur for holding classes on May 1 popularly known as May Day.
KKL also stated that the Principal should ensure that no such mistakes are not committed in future by him or any of his sub-ordinate staff.
Lastly the Lup demanded that the principal to make public statement within seven days failing which he would be held responsible for any unwanted outcome.
