Details of NFSA and PMGKAY rice allocation for ACs in IE laid out

IMPHAL, Jul 1 : The total quantity of monthly rice under National Food Security Act (NFSA) and Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) allocated for Imphal East district which comprises of ten Assembly Constituencies (ACs) stands at 30,59,285 (Thirty lakh, fifty nine thousand, two hundred and eight five) kilogram while the number of beneficiaries is 2,86,694 (Two lakh eighty six thousand six hundred and ninety four).
According to an official report from Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAF & PD), the ten Assembly segments of Imphal East district are Khundrakpam, Heingang, Khurai, Keirao, Kshetrigao, Thongju, Andro, Lamlai, Yaiskul and Wangkhei.
The total ration card holders of the 10 ACs are 8, 286 (Eighty one thousand, two hundred and eight six). Of this, ration cards for priority household and AAY are 70,776 (Seventy thousand seven hundred and six) and 10, 510 (ten thousand five hundred and ten) respectively.
Of the total beneficiaries (2,86, 694), 2, 51, 593 (Two lakh fifty one thousand five hundred and ninety three) are priority households  while 35, 101 (Thirty five thousand one hundred and one) hold AAY ration cards.
Here are the list of ACs in Imphal East and their allocation of rice as per CAF & PD
Khundrakpam AC : For this AC, the total number of Priority Household and AAY ration card holders are 5, 820 (Five thousand eight hundred and twenty) and 1,054 (One thousand and fifty four). The number of beneficiaries, on the other hand, is 24, 785 (Twenty four thousand seven hundred and eighty five), i.e, 21, 021 (Twenty one thousand and twenty one) under Priority Household and 3, 764 (Three thousand seven hundred and sixty four) under AAY.
Heingang AC : The ration card holders of this Constituency stands at 9, 271 (Nine thousand two hundred and seventy one), i.e  8, 254 (Eight thousand two hundred and fifty four) Priority Household and 1,017 (One thousand seventeen) AAY card holders. The total number of the beneficiaries of this AC is 33, 689 (Thirty three thousand six hundred and thirty nine), i.e 30, 103 (Thirty thousand one hundred and three) covered under Priority Household and 3, 586 (Three thousand five hundred and eight six) under AAY.
Khurai AC : This Assembly Constituency has 36, 213 (Thirty six thousand two hundred and thirteen) beneficiaries.  The figure of beneficiaries covered under Priority Household is 8, 829 (Eight thousand eight hundred and twenty nine), incorporating 31, 650 (Thirty one thousand six hundred and fifty) while that of AAY card holders stand at  1, 202 (One thousand two hundred and two) covering 4, 563 (Four thousand five hundred and sixty three).
Kshetrigao AC : Kshetrigao has 26, 428 beneficiaries of the two schemes of which 21, 954 (Twenty one thousand nine hundred and fifty four) receive ration under Priority Household while 4, 474 (Four thousand four hundred and seventy four) are beneficiaries of AAY. The figures of Priority Household and AAY card holders stand at 6,154 (Six thousand one hundred and fifty four) and 1,282 (One thousand two hundred and eighty two) respectively.  
Thongju AC : Thongju has 28, 917 (Twenty eight thousand nine hundred and seventeen) beneficiaries of NFSA and PMGKAY - 27, 513 (Twenty seven thousand five hundred and thirteen) Priority Household and 1,404 (One thousand four hundred and four) AAY beneficiaries.
The figures of Priority Household and AAY card holders, on the other hand, are 7, 523 (Seven thousand five hundred and twenty three) and 1,128 (One thousand one hundred and twenty eight).
Keirao AC : This Assembly segment has 27, 309 beneficiaries of the Government schemes. Of the total figure, 6, 705 (Six thousand seven hundred and five) are Priority Household card holders covering  23, 802 (Twenty three thousand eight hundred and two) heads and 944  (Nine hundred and forty four) AAY card holders covering beneficiaries 3, 507 (Three thousand five hundred and seven).
Andro AC : This Constituency has 30, 939 (Thirty thousand nine hundred and thirty nine) beneficiaries, covering 27, 049 (Twenty seven thousand forty nine) people under Priority Household and 3, 890 (Three thousand eight hundred and ninety) under AAY.
Lamlai AC : Lamlai has 31, 365 (Thirty one thousand three hundred and sixty five) beneficiaries. The number of Priority Household card holders stand at 8, 263 (Eight thousand two hundred and sixty three), incorporating 27, 375 (Twenty seven thousand three hundred and seventy five) and 1,220 (One thousand two hundred and two) AAY ration card holders covering 3,990 (Three thousand nine hundred and ninety) beneficiaries.
Yaiskul AC : Yaiskul currently has 17, 651 (Seventeen thousand six hundred and fifty one) beneficiaries - 15, 059 (Fifteen thousand fifty nine ) under Priority Household and 2,592 (Two thousand five hundred and ninety two) under AAY.
Wangkhei AC : The figure of beneficiaries for Wangkhei AC stands at 29, 398 (Twenty nine thousand three hundred and ninety eight), incorporating  26, 067 (Twenty six thousand sixty seven) Priority Household and 3,331 ( Three thousand three hundred and thirty one) AAY beneficiaries.
The report from the CAF & PD continued that households owning a valid AAY card of NFSA are entitled to 35 kilogram of rice per month while 5 kilogram of rice per head is allocated for a family owning Priority Household card holder at the rate of Rs 3 per kilogram for both.
It is also said that those owning AAY or Priority Household card holders under NFSA can also procure an additional 5 kilogram of rice per head per month under PMGKAY depending on the number of members mentioned in the card.
It also said that family of 5 members owning Priority Household Card are entitled to 25 kilogram of rice free of cost under PMGKAY and those with AAY cards are entitled to 35 kilogram of rice free  of cost.
According the CAF & PD, the quantity of rice allocated for the 10 ACs for a month under NFSA and PMGKAY is Khundrakpam (2, 66, 060 kg); Heingang (3,54,555 kg), Khurai (3,81,385 kg); Kshetrigao (1, 672,780 kg); Thongju  (3,21,630 kg); Keirao (2,88, 595 kg); Lamlai (3,36, 400 kg), Andro (3,22,840 kg); Yaiskul (1,89, 625 kg) and Wangkhei (3,11, 415 kg) . This quantity stands true for the months of May and June, 2021.
