Former Deputy Speaker, MK Preshow Shimray accompanied by BJP workers of 45-Chingai AC called on Dr RK Ranjan, MoS Education & External Affairs, Government of India at his residence today.
The former Deputy Speaker congratulated Dr RK Ranjan on being appointed as a Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government at the Centre while adding that his inclusion in the Ministry is a huge achievement for the people of North East and Manipur in particular.
He appealed for an early establishment and construction of Border Haats at Tusom village, located at the border of India and Myanmar.
He also highlighted the deplorable state of network connectivity in Ukhrul and Kamjong districts.
It may be mentioned that the MoS was supposed to visit Ukhrul but due to unavoidable circumstances, the programme was cancelled. However, the people of 45-Chingai AC were able to meet the Minister at his residence and had a valuable time.
The MoS was also presented with a Haora (a Chongkhom for his wife), a Pasi (head accessory) and fresh vegetables from 45 Chingai AC.
