AMTU participates in National meet

The All Manipur Tribal Union (AMTU) participated at the National meet to review Forest Rights Act Implementation and Eviction of Tribals that was organised at Montfort Social Institute, Uppal in Hyderabad from August 28-Aug 29. AMTU raised various issues including Article 371C, encroachment and eviction of tribal land, effective implementation of Forest Act 2006 etc. AMTU was invited by Human Rights Law Network, Delhi, the organiser of the meet.
