IMPHAL, Sep 14 : After two days it is back to over 200 daily spike with Manipur recording 231 new cases in the last 24 hours to take the cumulative figure of positive cases to 1,17,861 including 4174 Central security personnel.
If the daily spike returned to over two hundred cases, the daily positivity rate saw a marginal dip from September 13 at 6.9 percent.
On September 12 and September 13, the State logged 195 and 136 new cases respectively. The daily positivity rate on September 13 was 7.1 percent while on September 12 it was 6.5 percent.
On the other hand, the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee reported three deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours, said the COVID-19 Common Control Room in a statement.
The deceased persons were from Imphal West (2) and Imphal East (1).
Of the three deceased persons two had co-morbidities and none of them had received the vaccine shot.
With the addition of three more deaths the cumulative number of deaths due to the virus is now 1815.
Of the 231 persons who tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, 2 were Central security personnel.
The positive status of the 231 persons was confirmed during testing at RIMS (1), JNIMS (35) and other testing centres (195).
The 229 positive cases from among the civilians are drawn from Imphal East (37), Imphal West (132), Thoubal (10), Bishnupur (5), Kakching (3), Ukhrul (10), Churachandpur (17), Chandel (1), Senapati (3), Tamenglong (2), Noney (4), Kamjong (1) and Kangpokpi (4).
Though only 231 persons tested positive in the last 24 hours, the daily positivity rate in some districts continues to be disturbing with Noney leading the way with  11.4 percent. Of the 35 samples tested in the last 24 hours, four returned positive results.
Imphal West too continues to return high rate with 11.2 percent. Of the 1201 samples tested in the last 24 hours, 134 returned positive results.
Ukhrul continues to return a high daily positivity rate with 7.5 percent with 10 of the 134 samples tested returning positive results.
Imphal East, Churachandpur and Thoubal all returned daily positivity rate above the 6 percent mark.
Jiribam, Pherzawl and Tengnoupal reported no new cases in the last 24 hours.
On the other hand 231 persons were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (82), RIMS (6), JNIMS (16) CCCs (90) and CHICs (37).
The cumulative number of recovered cases has gone up to 1,13,032  and the recovery rate is 96.23 percent.
The number of active cases stands at 2614 including 35 Central security personnel.
The number of people who received their vaccination jab on September 13 is 5806 to take the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 16,00361 including 3,98,511 people who have received their second jab. In the last 24 hours, a total of 1219 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 229 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres across the State.
