IMPHAL, Sep 14: The CPI (M) Manipur State Committee has resolved to form a "Mahajot" (grand alliance) against BJP and to defeat them in the upcoming 12th Legislative Assembly election. The resolution was taken at a state committee meeting held today.
A statement issued by CPI (M) Manipur State Committee stated that the reasons the BJP and its NDA partners suffered defeat in the recent Assembly elections in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal were due to certain questionable actions of party such as its alleged communal policies, enacting laws against farmers, workers and merchants, violation of civil and human rights, an inefficient Covid response system, spying on journalists, businessmen and Opposition leaders using pegasus spyware, among others.
