Tengnoupal CSOs appeal

Tengnoupal District Kuki Chiefs' Association (KCA); Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) Tengnoupal; Hill Tribal Council, Moreh (HTC); Kuki Women Union & Human Rights (KWU & HR) and Molnoi Area Welfare Council have appealed to the State Government not to indulge in whimsical transfer of officers against existing rules and regulations.
A release issued by KCA Tengnoupal stated that the frequent transfer of Deputy Commissioners of Tengnoupal defying rules is highly unsolicited.
It mentioned that since the inauguration of Tengnoupal as a full-fledged district in November 2016, six DCs have been posted and transferred, leaving no time for the officers to focus on any development of the district.
The CSOs also pointed out that no DC of Tengnoupal has completed their official tenure so far, incapacitating them to fully discharge their duties.
In this regard, the CSOs have resolved to oppose any attempt to transfer the present Deputy Commissioner, N Praveen Singh, IAS before the completion of at least two years.
Any transfer henceforth would be considered as lackadaisical attitude of the Government towards the district development and its people, it added.
Meanwhile, the CSOs of Tengnoupal district have extended their heartfelt appreciation to the Government for deputing N Praveen Singh, IAS as DC of Tengnoupal who is well-disposed, dedicated and people oriented.
The civil society organisations further appealed to the State Government to give ample time to the present Deputy Commissioner so that he could focus on the developmental needs of the district.
