AAI sub-contractors demand action against M/s NM Construction

IMPHAL, Sep 26: Sub-contractors of Airport Authority of India (AAI) has sought action against M/s NM Construction regarding the mismanagement of funds amounting to about Rs 2 crore deposited by AAI to Manipur Tribal Development Corporation Limited (MTDC).
Speaking to the media at a press conference held at Kwakeithel today, one of the sub-contractors, H Kiran said project for development of Tezu Airport in Arunachal Pradesh was awarded to M/s NM Construction but as the progress of the project was not satisfactory, the contract was cancelled. On final settlement it was found that the company had spend a little more than Rs 1.08 crore and the cheque submitted by the company as Bank Guarantee (BG) also bounced.
He appealed MTDC to take up necessary action against the company as the mismanagement of fund is keeping the funds of the sub-contractors on hold by AAI.
