The proscribed People’s Liberation Army (PLA) celebrated its 43rd raising day at its general head-quarters, tactical command, strategic command, 252 mobile battalion, other military units, departments, stations, Central Bureau’s SR-1, SR-2, SR-3 and SR-4.
According to a press release issued by RPF Deputy Secretary, Publicity, Roben Khuman, the raising celebrations were held in low-key manner because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Saluting the party’s flag, offering of tributes to all the martyrs who had laid down their lives in the course of the liberation movement and reading out of RPF president Irengbam Chaoren’s message to the people were the main highlights of the raising day celebrations.
The raising day was also celebrated across Manipur in areas covered by Central Bureau’s divisions 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 together with the public by putting up star-embossed festoons and PLA’s red star.
On the occasion of the PLA’s 43rd raising day, its political wing RPF wished that all the indigenous people of Manipur may unite together and work collectively for the betterment of the people and the country.
It also conveyed solidarity to all the people who had fallen victim to the Covid-19 pandemic as well as all those suffering immensely because of it.
It further expressed appreciation of all the people who have been fighting the pandemic in the frontline.
