Panditraja Atombabu

IMPHAL, Sep 2 : The 58th death anniversary of Panditraja Atombabu was observed today at Sagolband Meino Leirak, strictly adhering to the SOP.
The programme was organised by the Panditraja Atombabu Research Centre.
At the observation , retd IIS BB Sharma read out an article "Pundit Raja Atombabu, Doyen of Journalism in Manipur '' which he penned.
BB Sharma also spoke about the contribution of Panditraja Atombabu in promoting State art and culture and in disseminating political consciousness to the people.
He said that reviving the centre is crucial to propagate the idea of the prominent figure.
Kshetra Karyawah of RSS Assam, Kh Rajen said that many of the books written by  Panditraja Atombabu have been lost along with many others in the State library fire incident.
Saying that most of the books he penned are in Bengali, Rajen pointed out the need to translate his book to Meitei Mayek so that the younger generation can go through it.
