Press Club opens

IMPHAL, Sep 2 : The All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) has notified that the restrictions placed at Manipur Press Club in the wake of the Covid pandemic, have been withdrawn with immediate effect.
Manipur Press Club will be opened from tomorrow (September 3) to the public for meeting, function and press meet but with attendees not more than 20 and with strict observation of safety guidelines and SOP issued by authority in view of the Covid pandemic, the notification read.
AMWJU also notified that the pending general body of the union will be convened on September 16 at 11 am with permission of the DC concerned and appealed to all union members to be present at the meeting.
Resolutions taken by the AMWJU Standing Committee on May 7 last, pending election of officer bearers of the union for the term 2021-2023 and other agendas will be discussed during the meeting, the notification said.
