IMPHAL, Sep 4
The All Manipur Pangal Students Union of Manipur (AMPSUM) urged the authorities concerned to revoke the transfer order of the vice principal of TG Higher Secondary School at the earliest.
In a press release, AMPSUM said that there are many loopholes in the transfer policy of Education Department and appealed to the authorities concerned to publish a white paper on the rules and regulations of the transfer policy inorder to clear the confusions surrounding it.
The student body maintained that the vice principal of TG Higher Secondary who is also taking the charge of DDO was posted to the school only five months ago and to issue another transfer order amid the ongoing admission process of Class XI is not called for and defy the existing transfer policy of the Education Department.
Frequent transfer of teachers against the existing rules and regulations have resulted in chaotic situation hindering the process of bringing quality education in the State, added the statement.
Stating that the teachers play an important role in bringing quality education, the student body appealed to the authorities to refrain from transferring teachers frequently without valid reasons and sought the intervention of the Education Minister in the matter.
The All Manipur Pangal Students Union of Manipur also warned that it will not remain as a silent spectator if the transfer order of the principal of TG Higher Secondary School is not revoked soon.
