Security forces recover huge cache of arms & ammunition

In a well planned and executed joint operation, Noney Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (East) of Spear Corps along with a representative of Manipur Police seized a cache of arms, ammunition and other stores near Longphailum.
The operation was based on specific input regarding a cache of arms, ammunition and war-like stores hidden in Longphailum.
A search operation was launched along with representatives of Nungba police in the forest area of Longphailum on September 2 which led to the recovery of two .22 mm pistols and one 9 mm pistol with magazines, six rounds of 5.56 mm, 15 rounds of 7.62 mm, four rounds of 9 mm, 11 rounds of .22 mm and one  Chinese Hand Grenade.
A Cache of arms, ammunition and explosives was handed over to Nungba police station for further investigation.
