IMPHAL, Jan 10 : UBFC, Ukhrul shrugged off their 3-5 semi-final home leg loss to hand PAMYAL, Imphal West a shock 3-0 defeat at PAMYAL ground today and set up 25th Thangjam Birachandra-Maipakpi Memorial Winners' Cup final date with KSC, Kangpokpi.
Visiting UBFC made a cautious start to the second leg as they needed a better comeback to reduce the huge 5-3 deficit to keep their final hope alive and were 1-0 ahead till the break with Ningon Chipang goal in the 13th minute of the match.
PAMYAL, who produced a brilliant scoring performance in their trip to Artificial Turf, hardly troubled the UBFC defence and were playing more defensively. It proved costly as the hard-working Ukhrul team gained further ground when P Sorormi Thingsang scored the team's second goal to close the goal margin in the 59th minute.
However, the goal was not enough for them to progress as PAMYAL held 5 away goals and needed another goal to overturn the lead which they got when Khangampam Zimik  converted a chance during the stoppage time (90+1').
