KYKL cadre held

IMPHAL, Jan 10 : A combined team of Bishnupur district commando and column of 29 Assam Rifles arrested an active KYKL cadre  from Bishnupur Forest Gate this afternoon.
According to reliable information, the combined team had carried out a cordon and search operation at Bishnupur Forest Gate area as a part of their preventive and counter insurgency measures ahead of the coming State Assembly election.
The cordon and search operation was carried out under the command of OC Bishnupur commando and under the supervision of Mayengbam Roni, Additional SP (Ops).
One person identified as Nameirakpam Bimol Meitei (45) of Potshangbam Mamang Leikai, Bishnupur presently staying at Luwang Khullen Part-l, Noney district was arrested on spot by observing necessary formalities.
On spot verification, he disclosed that he was a cadre of KYKL and joined in the year 2001 through one (L) Chaoba of Potshangbam and received Basic Military Training.
The arrested person has been handed over to Bishnupur police station for necessary legal action.
