ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region celebrates 48th foundation day

ICAR Manipur Centre celebrated the 48th foundation day of ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region today at ICAR Manipur Centre, Lamphelpat.
The programme was graced by  Kh Hera Singh, former Head, KVK-Imphal West as the chief Guest and Dr Ch Basudha Devi, Joint Director Incharge, ICAR Manipur Centre as the president.
As a part of the programme, flag hosting of ICAR was done followed by felicitation of retired staff recognizing  their valuable contribution to the organisation.
Addressing the gathering, Kh Hera Singh narrated the different contribution of ICAR Manipur Centre to the farmers through releasing improved varieties and transferring scientific technologies to the farming communities.
Dr Ch Basudha Devi, Joint Director Incharge, ICAR Manipur Centre, in the presidential address appreciated the contributions and services rendered by the staff of ICAR Manipur Centre and its KVKs for addressing the various problems and constraints for uplifting the agriculture and allied sectors of the State.
Staff of the ICAR Manipur Centre and its KVKs namely KVK-Imphal West, KVK-Chandel, KVK-Churachandpur, KVK-Tamenglong and KVK-Urkhul also participated in today's programme adhering to Covid SOPs.
