Veteran T-20 : CYCLONE beat NAPSA by 23 runs for second win

IMPHAL, Jan 14 : CYCLONE, Thangmeiband beat NAPSA, Kha Imphal by 23 runs for the second group stage (Group B) win in three matches of the ongoing 9th T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Oriental College and Model Hr Secondary School playground today.
NAPSA won the toss and let CYCLONE bat first. Riding on Sachi (39), Rohindro (29), Thoi Thoi (23) and Bikram (11), CYCLONE posted a total of 123 runs for 5 in their quota of 20 overs.
Ibobi emerged the best bowler NAPSA had today as he scalped twice for 14 runs in 2 overs while Simon (1/25), Premananda (1/26) and Bhogendro (1/19) picked a wicket apiece.
The moderate target however proved to be an uphill task for NAPSA as they slumped to 100 for 8, despite Ibobi (41 off 48 balls) trying to ease the pressure.
CYCLONE's Rohindro (3/17 in 4 overs) and Tiken (3/11 in for overs) shone in this match as both enjoyed three wicket hauls to apply break to the NAPSA chase where in Simon (17) and Goutam (11) too managed double digit scores.
Ph Rohendro who shone with both the bat and the ball was adjudged man of the match.
