Join MPP

IMPHAL, Jan 14: As many as 10 former office bearers of civil society organisations and student bodies have joined the MPP.
KSA’s Irengbam Ango Mangang, Khaidem Johnson, Social Students’ Union Manipur’s (SSUM) Th Pradeep, Abdul Hassan, All Meitei Pangal Students Union Manipur’s Umar Bin, Hafish Choran, Aslam Khan, Proletariate Feminist Movement Manipur’s Lamabam Brajeshwari, AMPSUM’s Md Abdul Shah  and MV Rabi have joined the MPP even as the Manipur Legislative Assembly election is round the corner.
They were accorded a warm reception at the party’s office here today. Speaking at the reception function, MPP president L Krishnadas said that there is an urgent need to formulate a vibrant youth policy in order to make Manipur self-reliant.
He said that the coming of former CSO members and student leaders would definitely strengthen MPP.
MPP general secretary (administration) H Gitajen said that all the 10 new members have been approved as active members of the party. Reminding that MPP has already announced names of 12 candidates who would contest the forthcoming election, Gitajen said that names of some other candidates would be announced shortly.
Claiming that no party would be able to secure absolute majority in the forthcoming election, Gitajen said that MPP would take a key role in forming the next Government.
