4 SF men, 2 cadres killed : RPF

IMPHAL, Jan 16 : At least two cadres of People's Liberation Army (PLA) were killed by para commandos of the Indian Army on January 13 in an attack while four security personnel were also killed in the encounter that followed, said a press communique issued by Revolutionary People's Front (RPF), today.
According to RPF, its cadres captain Bishworjit (real name Chingangbam Koktumani), s/o Inaobi Meetei and Ibecha of Nongpok Sekmai and lieutenant Thoihenba (real name Khaidem Indrajit alias Inaocha), s/o Tomba and Rajmani of Tera Makhong Nambol were gunned down by the para commandos at its temporary camp at Chandel district near Myanmar border.
The RPF condoled the demise of its cadres and prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.
The RPF and its armed wing PLA also shared the grief and sorrow of the families of the two deceased.
Saying that PLA tactfully launched a counter attack and pushed back the para commandos, the RPF claimed that the Indian Army retreated by abandoning its mission to avoid casualty on their side.
The RPF further stated that one para SF member was killed in the counter attack and one AK  47 and RT set were recovered from the deceased.
Claiming that they found a body of another  SF member while carrying out an operation on the direction which the Indian Army retreated the following day (January 14), the RPF alleged that one magazine pouch, three AK-47 magazines, one hand grenade,  three helmet-torchlights and a packet of opium were found on the body.
Such a discovery is an indication of the Indian Army personnel consuming opium  to be bold and fearless, the RPF claimed.
In the encounter that followed, at least four personnel of the Indian Army were found killed while seven others were critically  injured, it claimed.
Saying that the first deceased who donned a uniform of para SF member was a Major of CNA as per a condolence message uploaded on social media, the RPF asked how the ethnic soldier of Myanmar was with the para commandos in the first place.
Carrying out such an attack with the help of Myanmar based insurgent group validates that the  Indian Union is attempting to create animosity among the groups in WESEA region, the RPF claimed  and cautioned that the insurgent groups in the neighbouring country will not get any help from India when the needs arise.
