IMPHAL, Jan 18 : Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam Manipur & Nagaland) has lauded MoS Dr RK Ranjan Singh on his statement made during the Gaan Ngai celebration that clearly stated that Gaan Ngai is the biggest festival of Zeliangrong community.
In a statement issued today Zeliangrong Baudi said they had also been observing the messages and wishes issued by various prominent personalities and found it satisfactory that the messages clearly mentioned 'Gaan Ngai' as the largest festival of the Zeliangrong community unlike last year where it was mentioned as festival of Kabui tribe.
Zeliangrong people are inseparable by blood which cannot be separated by administrative manipulation and so called separate tribe recognition as 'Zeliang', 'Kabui', 'Zeme', 'Liangmei', 'Rongmei' etc., added the statement.
Zeliangrong Baudi also alleged in the statement that as the history of Zeliangrong people is a history of common ancestral origin whoever is trying to distort historical facts on the basis of administrative manipulation is only exposing their lack of reasoning ability.
