Zeliangrong United Front greets

Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has extended their greetings to the people on the occasion of 107th birth anniversary of Rani Gaidinliu and Republic Day of India.
In a release, ZUF stated that the day was observed  by offering prayers with the hope that Rani Gaidinlui's spirit will guide the people.
Addressing Rani Gaidinliu's impeccable legacy, ZUF informed that the veteran freedom fighter who was born on January 26, 1915 at Longkao village, Tamenglong, was honoured with a postage stamp in 1996.
The Naga political leader who led an armed uprising against the British in Manipur, Nagaland and Assam was also accorded many awards including Padma Bhushan in 1982, Tamrapatra Freedom Fighter Award in 1972 and Vivekananda Seva Award in 1983, it added.
ZUF further expressed hope that the occasion will inspire everyone, specially the Zeliangrong tribe to commit themselves towards unity and uphold peaceful cohabitation of different communities.
