WY tablets seized
IMPHAL, Jan 29 : A team of Manipur police personnel apprehended 4 persons who were in possession of 11.154 kg of suspected WY tablets at Kakching Khunou Lamkhai today.
According to a release from Shrey Vats, IPS, SP, Kakching district, acting on a specific input, Sub Inspector Ksh Prakash Singh of CDO Unit, Kakching along with his mobile team under the command of Inspector Md Abash Khan, OC-CDO Unit, Kakching under the supervision of Shrey Vats, IPS, SP, Kakching intercepted a Maruti Eco Van at Kakching Khunou Lamkhai.
Upon subsequent interrogation, the occupants of the van were identified as Mang Robert Singson (24), Semoul village, Churachandpur; Jangkholen Haokip (23), Churachandpur; Th Andrew Tongkhangmang Baite (20), Tengnoupal village and T Thangjalal Haokip (37), Kholmun village, Churachandpur.
After thorough inspection of the vehicle, one black carry bag which was concealed behind the rear seat was recovered containing 10 plastic packets suspected to be WY tablets.
Upon weighing, the tablets were found to weigh approximately 11.154 kg.
Three mobile phones were also recovered from the 4 suspects and all recovered items were seized by observing necessary formalities.
Following this, the 4 suspects were arrested and handed over to OC Waikhong police station along with the seized items for further necessary legal action.
