Manipur women strength lifting team bring home 5 medals

State women strength lifting team brought home 5 medals from the 31st National Strength Lifting and Inclined Bench Press Championships 2021-22 held in Alwar, Rajasthan from December 29, 2021 to January 2 last.
A release of the Manipur Strengthlifting Association, said that State's Olibiya Huidrom won a gold and a bronze medal respectively in the sub-junior girls 65 kg strengthlifting and inclined bench press events.
In the strength lifting event, Olibiya lifted 47.5 kg in two hand curling and 225 kg in hack lift to win the gold and lifted 47.5 kg to win in the inclined bench press to win the bronze, it said.
Kangujam Manganleima, in the meantime fetched a silver medal in the women's 72 kg inclined bench press event, it said.
Ph Naocha, too bagged a gold medal in the 80 kg inclined bench event by lifting 107.5 kg and Ng Sweety grabbed a silver medal in the same weight category by lifting 102.5 kg, the release continued.
